Pipelines are used for transporting various substances, including raw materials, semi-finished products, intermediate and finished products, and industrial waste, necessary for technological processes and operation of equipment.
The specifications for the process pipelines manufacturing and installation are determined by an extensive long-range network and differences in the process equipment hookup configuration, variety of materials, pipe types, pipe diameters, and pipe wall thicknesses, transported substances corrosivity, environment, difference in pipe laying techniques (in trenches, trenchless, in channels, tunnels, on supports, two- or multi-tier pipe racks on process equipment, different heights which are sometimes inconvenient for work, etc.), number of separable and inseparable joints, piping components, valves, compensators, instrumentation, and supporting structures.
